What we collect
An account username, a contact email, and whatever your group enters into the app: meetings and secretaries, 7th Tradition collections, expenses, inventory, and financial settings. That's the entirety of what's collected — nothing is gathered beyond what the app needs to function.
How it's used
Solely to provide the app to your group: storing your records, sending account and password emails, and processing donations if you choose to make one. It is never sold, never shared with advertisers, and never used to train anything.
Who else touches it
A small number of service providers are used to run the app, each handling only what they need to do their job:
- Supabase — database and account authentication
- Vercel — hosting
- Stripe — payment processing for donations
- Resend — transactional email (account and password emails)
None of them are permitted to use your group's data for their own purposes.
Cookies and tracking
No analytics, no advertising trackers, no cross-site cookies. The only cookies set are the ones required to keep you signed in.
Deleting your data
Deleting your group is a real, permanent deletion — not archived, not soft-deleted. You'll receive a full snapshot of your group's records by email first, in case you need it later, and everything is removed immediately after.
Children's privacy
Pass the Hat isn't directed at children and isn't knowingly used to collect data from anyone under 16.
Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated occasionally as the app changes. The date at the top always reflects the latest version.
